In response to the Community Living Sector's expressed need to move forward in finding sustainable innovative solutions to combat the isolation, segregation and poverty of people with disabilities in our province, Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) and 2010 Legacies Now have partnered to make a combined financial contribution of $550,000 to create The Community Living Innovation Venture (The Venture). Vancity Community Foundation (VCF), as the delivery partner, is responsible for the development and operation of The Venture. Central to the concept of The Venture is the engagement and strategic involvement of other funders, community organizations and business leaders and funding will be made available for several "pilot" innovations through which interested parties from across the sector can learn together.
