This Giving Tuesday, we’re excited to introduce our Collective Impact Funds, developed to reflect Vancity Community Foundation’s (VCF) new strategic plan and priorities. These funds are designed to make giving simpler, more impactful and rooted in trust.

As we approach September 30th, which is Orange Shirt Day and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we invite settlers and non-Indigenous Canadians to join us in taking reconcilACTION by participating in the One Day’s Pay campaign.

As we approach National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, we’d like to share some of the activities, deep learning and reoriented practices we have undertaken as an organization over the past year.

At Vancity Community Foundation, a core priority for us is helping restoring affordability through initiatives that grow community-owned assets, distribute collective benefits, and create economic conditions for thriving. But we cannot do this work on our own. That’s why our advocacy work with government is critical. Just like last year, we had a team in Victoria analyzing the provincial budget announcement and bringing you some highlights.

Learning about and supporting Indigenous-led organizations through a donation, without the expectation of a tax receipt, is an opportunity for settler Canadians to take action on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
