Vancity today announced it is temporarily waiving wire transfer fees to send money to Ukraine. There are over one million Canadians who identify as Ukrainian, and many more with strong personal connections who are deeply concerned and wish to help. Vancity members will be able to send money to friends or family members in Ukraine without fees.

The Grassroots Leadership Fund is currently looking to raise $150,000 to support Justice Summer, a 2-month program seeking to build the power of racial, economic and social justice organizations by training and mentoring 20 young, primarily BIPOC organizers this May and June in Vancouver.

The Board of Directors of the Vancity Community Foundation (VCF) today announced the appointment of Genesa Greening as Chief Executive Officer. Effective February 14, Genesa replaces Allison Felker who served as the interim executive director of the Foundation since 2018.
